天橋立 Amanohashidate

わたしは去年天橋立へ行きました。天橋立は京都の日本海側の宮津湾にあります。日本三景の一つです。
幅は約20～170m、全長約3.6kmの砂浜で、約8000本もの松が茂っている珍しい地形で、その形が、天に架かる橋のように見えることから『天橋立』の名が付きました。

天橋立は、高いところから見ると、とてもきれいに島の形が見えます。
そして、天橋立では『股のぞき』をすることが有名です。『股のぞき』とはこの写真のように、股の間から天橋立を見ることです。股のぞきで逆さにのぞく景色は、海と空が逆になり、まさに天に架かる浮き橋のようです。

みなさんも京都に行くときには、ぜひ天橋立まで足を延ばしてみてください。

わたしは去年（きょねん）天橋立（あまのはしだて）へ行（い）きました。天橋立（あまのはしだて）は京都（きょうと）の日本海側（にほんかいがわ）の宮津湾（みやづわん）にあります。
日本三景（にほんさんけい）の一つです。
幅（はば）は約（やく）20～170m、全長（ぜんちょう）約3.6kmの砂浜（すなはま）で、約8000本もの松（まつ）が茂（しげ）っている珍（めずら）しい地形（ちけい）で、その形（かたち）が、天（てん）に架（か）かる橋（はし）のように見（み）えることから『天橋立（あまのはしだて）』の名（な）が付（つ）きました。
天橋立（あまのはしだて）は、高（たか）いところから見（み）ると、とてもきれいに島（しま）の形（かたち）が見えます。

そして、天橋立では『股（また）のぞき』をすることが有名（ゆうめい）です。『股（また）のぞき』とはこの写真のように、股の間（あいだ）から天橋立を見ることです。股のぞきで逆（さか）さにのぞく景色は、海（うみ）と空（そら）が逆（ぎゃく）になり、まさに天（てん）に架（か）かる浮（う）き橋（ばし）のようです。

Amanohashidate.

Last year I went to Amanohashidate.
Amanohashidate is located in the Miyazu Bay within Kyoto prefecture along the Japan Sea. It is one of the three most scenic views in Japan.
 It is a sandbar that stretches between 20 and 170 meters wide,  the length is about 3.6 kilometers and has about 8000 pine trees growing on it, and its form, it creates a rare landscape that makes it look like a bridge to sky, which is where the name "Amanohashidate (bridge to heaven)" came from.

 When you look at Amanohashidate from a high place, you can see the island's shape very clearly.
  Amanohashidate is also famous for "the crotch look". "The crotch look" is, as you can see in this photo, looking at Amanohashidate through your legs. The scene you see when you do "the crotch look" turns the sky and sea upside down and the sandbar really does look like a bridge floating in the sky.

 When you visit Kyokto, please take a little side trip to Amanohashidate.
