Meet Your Teacher
I am passionate about languages and have studied in Canada and Spain. I have taught at Japanese language schools in Chiba, Osaka, and Kyoto. Later, I worked as a Japanese language instructor at a company, and since 2013 I have been teaching online at Japonin(JOI). I teach Survival Japanese, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Business levels. In addition, I offer many private lessons and provide flexible lessons to meet your learning needs.
I am from Narita, a city known for its international connections, and have enjoyed interacting with people from various countries since childhood. I also gained experience in customer service at Narita Airport as a ground staff member, which allows me to help you with honorifics and business etiquette. I look forward to meeting you in class.

FlexLessons – 50-minute Zoom classes (up to 7 students)
▸ Survival Japanese CEFR A1
This class is designed to help you learn the essential Japanese for everyday situations in a short time. It is recommended for you if you have never studied Japanese before, but plan to travel to Japan for leisure or business, or would just like to start to experience the Japanese language.
▸ Beginner 1 CEFR A1
You will learn one or two sentence patterns and practice them through conversation. You will also learn a great deal of vocabulary and expressions.
▸ Low Intermediate Grammar (JLPT N3)
You will learn one or two N3 sentence patterns by practicing them in a conversational style. First, you will learn the form and meaning of the sentence patterns, and then practice using them in conversation. Finally, we will practice JLPT-style questions, make sentences, and check your understanding of the sentence patterns.
On some days, we also offer free conversation lessons where the topic is decided only. Even if you are not good at speaking, I will help you to enjoy speaking.
▸ Intermediate CEFR B2
You will learn one or two intermediate sentence patterns through conversation practice. At the end of the class, you will create your own sentences to check your understanding.
