Beginner 2 Grammar (JLPT N4) – Lesson Overview
Japonin(JOI)’s Beginner 2 Grammar Lessons (JLPT N4) are designed for learners preparing for the JLPT N4 or for those who want to strengthen their basic grammar and vocabulary. You will study grammar, vocabulary, kanji, and reading comprehension at the N4 level.
These are modular Flex Lessons, so there is no need to attend at the same time every week. You can choose the topics you need from the available lessons and book each one individually. This flexible system allows you to review the lesson plan, focus on specific grammar points, and study at your own pace according to your goals and schedule.

Meet Our Teachers

- Completed the Japanese Teacher Training Course
At the start of each class, I explain the key grammar points. Then, we practice verb and adjective conjugations used with the pattern, and apply them in context. Finally, we always do review exercises. These exercises also help with JLPT preparation.
Oosawa Miki

- Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test (passed)
This class is recommended for learners who can recognize some kanji but haven’t practiced writing much, or those who want to study JLPT N4 kanji and vocabulary. We use stroke-order animations to check writing, and students practice on paper. Vocabulary using each kanji is also introduced, so you can strengthen both reading and vocabulary skills.

You will learn the basic grammar patterns commonly used in everyday Japanese. Explanations are supported with some English, and key points are also explained in simple Japanese. Most words on the slides include furigana to help with reading. Lessons focus on understanding when and how the day’s grammar is used in real-life situations.
After each lesson, you will receive lesson notes explaining the grammar and vocabulary covered in class.
