昨年（さくねん）の１０月に、熊本（くまもと）に旅行（りょこう）に行きました。 熊本市（くまもとし）は熊本城（くまもとじょう）や水前寺公園（すいぜんじこうえん）で有名（ゆうめい）なところですが、 緑（みどり）が多くとても美（うつく）しい街（まち）です。

熊本市から少し足（あし）を延（の）ばすと、山都町（やまとちょう）というところに、 1854年に作られた「通潤橋（つうじゅんきょう）」という古（ふる）い橋（はし）があります。 農業用水（のうぎょうようすい）を送（おく）るため建設（けんせつ）された石造（いしづく）りアーチ水路橋（すいろきょう）です。

実はいきなり、「ちょっと見てみたいな」と思（おも）い浮（う）かび、 何（なん）の計画（けいかく）もせずにふらふらといってみたのですが １日に１回の放水（ほうすい）の時間（じかん）（２０２２年は１３時）の２０分前に 到着（とうちゃく）して、運（うん）よくとても美（うつく）しい放水（ほうすい）を見ることができました。 タイミングが本当に良くて、うれしかったです。

A trip to Kumamoto Prefecture Japan

Last October I went on a trip to Kumamoto prefecture.Kumamoto City is famous for Kumamoto Castle and Suizenji Park, but it is a very beautiful city with a lot of greenery.

There is also an old bridge built in 1854 called "Tsujun Bridge" in Yamato Town, which is a little further from Kumamoto City.It is a stone arch aqueduct built to send agricultural water.

Actually, I just suddenly had a thought, "Oh, I'd like to see that," and without any plan to, I dropped in to see it, but luckily it was just the time of day when they had the water discharge - it once happens once a day (it was 13:00 in 2022) I arrived 20 minutes before that and was lucky enough to see a very beautiful water discharge.The timing was really good and I really enjoyed myself.
