umbrella

Umbrellas in Japanese summers

What kind of umbrella do you usually use ? Here in Tokyo we are in the middle if the rainy season. In this season, where the rain starts and stops all the time, a rain-use umbrella certainly earns its keep.

If its raining in the morning, I take a long umbrella with me when I go out, and if its cloudy out, I put a folding umbrella in my bag . The flower-patterned folding umbrella that I am using right now only cost 500 yen, but despite this, it is light and compact and also very durable.

Soon the rainy season will be over, so next my parasol, which I use to block ultraviolet rays, will become a necessity. For a while yet, at least until the summer is over, I jut cannot do without my umbrellas.
