みなさんは「鳶に油揚げをさらわれる」ということわざを知っていますか？ これは、自分の大事なものや手に入れられると当て込んでいたものを、不意に横からさらわれることのたとえであり、また、奪われて呆然としている様子のことを表しています。

先日、お天気が良いので、外のベンチでお昼を食べようとした時の話。 買ってきたサンドイッチの包みをペリペリとむいて、さあ食べようと口を開けたところに、 「バサバサッ」という羽音とともに手に衝撃が！

我に返ると、持っていたはずのサンドイッチは消え、頭上にはあざわらうかのように カラスが旋回していました。 「鳶」ではなく、「カラス」にさらわれるとは！　何だかやけにくやしい一日でした。

Have you heard of the proverb 'Having your fried tofu snatched by a black kite' ? This metaphorically stands for, having something that you hold dear or something that you hope to get, being unexpectedly taken away from you and also expresses the feeling of loss you get when something is stolen from you.

This story took place the other day; the weather was nice so I went out to eat my lunch on a bench. I slowly unwrapped the sandwich I had bought and just opening my mouth to eat it when I heard the "flutter, flutter !" of bird's feathers and at the same felt a shock in my hand !

When I got myself back together, the sandwich I was holding was gone, and a crow circled above my head as if it was laughing at me in scorn. It was snatched, not by a black kite, but by a crow of all things ! It was an extremely vexing day when all was said and done.
