Benefits of hot water

Hey everyone, do you know how the Kanji for white (白い) and the Kanji for hot water (お湯) are read when put together (白湯)? The answer is “Sayu”. And “Sayu” is water that has been boiled for a fixed amount of time. Do you know the benefits of this “Sayu”? Drinking “Sayu” is known to be good for your health and beauty so the amount of people doing so has increased.

The benefits that can be expected from drinking “Sayu” cannot be expected from just hot water. The point with “Sayu” is to boil it for around 10 minutes. By doing that, it removes the impurities that are included in the water and apparently sterilizes it. And when you drink it, you drink it after it has naturally cooled. When you drink “Sayu” it relieves the body chills from using the air conditioner during the summer heat, improves your blood circulation, and is effective for beautiful skin and dieting, and it also acts as a detox. Another attractive thing about “Sayu” is that it doesn't cost any money. There are many people who try a method to improve health and get beautiful skin.

“Sayu” is a historic health practice that has its origins from about 5000 years ago, can be traced back to Indian Ayurveda, and has been practiced until modern times, not only in Japan but all over the world.

I have been trying to drink “Sayu” every day for the last few years. But recently, because I was busy and due to the heat, I have stopped drinking it. But using this blog as an inspiration, I think I'll restart it.

Hajimemashite! I am Sakude Emi. I live in Osaka, Japan's second largest city, with my daughters, son and my Brazilian husband. My hobby is cooking, especially dishes from around the world.

My husband and I often talk about how much misunderstanding there is in the world between individuals and between nations. We feel it is these misunderstandings that block smooth human relations. I would like to do what I can to unravel these knots of misunderstanding.

If there is anything you'd like to ask me, even if it's not connected to learning Japanese, please feel free. Let's do our best together. Ganbarou
