Introducing

Hello. My name is Takako Noritomi. I am from Fukuoka in Kyushu.

For about 6 years, I taught Japanese at several schools and academies. I enjoy discussing different topics with students, and I really enjoy the chance to meet a new student. I try to motivate students with effective and fun methods to help you learn Japanese.

I am an adventurous and curious person and have several hobbies, including sports and traveling, but my favorite one has to be eating. Fukuoka has its share of delicious foods (sushi, sashimi, lasting pan, ramen, and more), so if you do come to Japan, by all means come and visit us here!

Japanese Teaching Style

What kinds of activities do you include in your online Japanese classes?

In my Beginner 2 class, I start with a theme and, based on that, have students practice Japanese conversation using basic Japanese grammar in a variety of situations. Rather than merely understanding the grammar forms, I encourage students to build practical conversational ability in Japanese?what kinds of expressions can you make using a new grammar form along with other Japanese vocabulary you already know.

The bulk of the class period consists of practice using that grammar element in practical situations; by the end of class, students can make use of the new grammar in real-life Japanese conversations. This approach of broadening one's converational ability is a key?perhaps the key, I feel?to building one's Japanese language ability.

Please share your thoughts on teaching and learning Japanese.

I invite my students to speak up freely during my online classes?it's how you'll improve your speaking ability in Japanese?and please feel free to ask questions during class. I'm looking forward to seeing you in our online classroom, where we can learn "Japanese you can use."
