Introducing SENO Chiaki

Hello! My name is Seno Chiaki.

I am truly delighted to be of some help to those learners of the Japanese language. I intend to have classes where everyone can talk as much as possible. I want to introduce Japanese culture in our online classes and use the opportunity to let everyone experience a part of it.

My hobby is playing the piano and, on occasion, the cello. I live with my husband, two children, and our family dog. The dog is very cute, but also very naughty—I have to scold him every day!

I look forward to meeting you very much.

Teaching Style
What kinds of activities or lessons do you include in your Japanese classes?

Introductory Classes
We practice how to say some simple grammar structures, and vocabulary concerning the names of jobs, places and things. Once you get used to saying these, you can move on and start talking about yourself. Even if it's your first time studying Japanese, I try to make it an easy experience. If you already know a little Japanese, this is also a great place for you to review and get your tongue around the language again.

Beginner 1 Classes
Would you like to start talking about your plans, actions, experiences, and wishes in Japanese? Using some simple adjectives introduced at the Beginner 1 level gives you the ability to explain the state of people and things. Then, add the grammar you've just learned to give your own answers to classmates' questions.

Intermediate Classes
I'd like to hear about your experiences and opinions on the selected topics within each class. While answering each other's questions you'll find yourself learning new vocabulary and better ways to state your comments. At this level we begin to introduce some Japanese idioms and proverbs, as well as some of the latest trendy language.

Please share your thoughts on teaching and learning Japanese.

In my classes I put an emphasis on creating an atmosphere in which you can study in a laid-back fashion. Come on in and join the conversation.
